WiLDCOAST welcomes A.J. Schneller to the team!

New Otay River and South San Diego Bay Conservation Program Manager.

WiLDCOAST is excited to welcome A.J. as our new Otay River and South San Diego Bay Conservation Program Manager. WiLDCOAST’s newest hire brings to the organization a wealth of environmental education experience, extensive knowledge of open space management, riparian habitat and wildlife conservation, and a passion for environmental advocacy. A.J. will work to increase community engagement in the conservation of the Otay River watershed, which drains into South San Diego Bay. A.J. comes to WiLDCOAST from Boston University’s School for Field Studies in Bahia Magdalena, Baja California Sur, where he taught courses for three years as a lecturer in Environmental Studies. Prior to that A.J. was an education coordinator at the Center for Biological Diversity in Tucson. A.J. earned a Ph.D. in Environmental Studies from the University of Arizona’s College of Education and the School of Natural Resources and the Environment and has an MPA in Environmental Law and Policy from Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs. In addition to having various publications and scholarly contributions to his name, A.J. is an avid surfer.
