Tijuana Sloughs

The Imperial Beach shoreline is closed due to Tijuana River sewage contaminated runoff. With over a quarter of an inch of rain over the last two days current swell direction  (south to north) there is pollution potential for the Imperial Beach shoreline. All San Diego county beaches are currently under a general advisory. Swimming, surfing and general ocean water contact is not recommended following a significant rain event. Water contact should be avoided for at least 72 hrs following the last rain event.
