On Saturday July 9th the Tijuana Estuary, Surfrider San Diego and WiLDCOAST helped California State Parks to replant native plants destined to be placed at Monument Mesa in Border Field State Park. Volunteers helped relocate native plants into larger pots to await being transferred to their new destination-“It saves us money to have volunteers help out” said Stewardship Coordinator Chris Peregrin “it is also great to think that the Tijuana River Valley and Estuary are being restored by local volunteers, that’s what stewardship is all about.”
