WiLDCOAST and I Love a Clean San Diego are partnering up for a cleanup/nature watch along the Tijuana River Valley at Effie May's Trail on Saturday, October 1st from 9AM – 12noon.

We are offering volunteers the opportunity to break up their litter and debris removal throughout the event by offering guided nature walks, looking for native birds and plant life. REI will be on hand to lend walking sticks and binoculars for volunteers' use during the event.

The goal is to bring people out in to these natural areas not only to pick up trash, but to also see them as places for outdoor recreation.  By introducing participants to native flora and fauna at the event, we hope to encourage more usage of these natural areas.

This is a fun family friendly way to learn about the amazing outdoor recreational resource the Tijuana River Valley is!

What to bring: Long pants and closed toe shoes. We encourage volunteers to bring their own cleanup supplies, yet we will have gloves, buckets, water and snacks on hand.
