on Saturday October 1st, WiLDCOAST, I Love a Clean San Diego and San Diego Audubon society partnered to host the second event of Tijuana River Action Month in the Tijuana River Valley.

More than 65 volunteers joined forces to remove over 1200 lbs of trash and 35 waste-tires from the main Tijuana River channel. While taking a break from removing all this trash, volunteers were lead by Jim Peugh from San Diego Audubon society on a nature walk and wildlife tour where, volunteers learned about local native habitat, wildlife and vegetation. "I didnt know it would be so fun!" said one of the group participants.

WiLDCOAST & I Love a Clean San Diego would like to thank San Diego Audubon Society, REI, 91X, Allied Waste Services and all the volunteers who came to take action!
