WiLDCOAST & Surfrider San Diego Volunteers Prevent Waves of Styrofoam From Flowing to the Ocean

Activists fill 40 yard bin with plastics and styrofoam

WiLDCOAST and Surfrider San Diego joined forces once again to host the 3rd cleanup of Tijuana River Action Month.

30 Volunteers helped haul out of the river bed wheelbarrow after wheelbarrow of plastic, styrofoam and waste tires. SDSU's E3 an environmental bussiness club came down to help.

91x helped keep the volunteers amped under the sun while playing music on their speakers and giving goodies to the volunteers for helping out.

WiLDCOAST would like to thank Surfrider and all the volunteers for helping clean and restore the Tijuana River.

Stay tuned for the last cleanup of the year this Saturday Oct 15th from 9-12pm at the same location.
