Department of Environmental Health Issues General Advisory for all San Diego County Beaches

Ocean users advised to avoid ocean water contact

San Diego County's Department of Environmental Health has issued a general advisory for all San Diego beaches. Ocean users are advised to avoid water contact for at least 72 hrs following a significant rain event. Additionally the Imperial Beach shoreline is vulnerable to impacts from Tijuana RIver sewage contaminated water, particularly if ocean currents are flowing from south to north and the river has exceeded over 25 Million Gallon a Day.
