Learn How to "Tread Softly" While Camping in Baja
Night sky in Los Cirios, Baja California

The wild desert coastlines of Baja California have long drawn outdoor enthusiasts from around the globe, seeking world-class waves and pristine beaches. But in order to maintain this natural beauty, it is imperative that we practice sustainable camping and recreating in these areas. Regardless of destination and purpose, everyone has an impact during his or her Baja adventure. Everyone can make the decision whether that impact is positive or negative and both can be contagious.

Join Zach Plopper, Wildlands Program Manager for WiLDCOAST, who for the past 20 years has been exploring Baja’s hidden coves and will discuss best practices to minimize your impact while in Baja.

Some areas we’ll discuss include:

·      What to bring on your trip

·      Managing your waste (human and trash)

·      Driving and traveling consciously throughout Baja

·      Sharing your knowledge of sustainable practices with your fellow Baja adventurers
