WiLDCOAST brings environmental education to San Diego schools.

At WiLDCOAST we believe that if we educate our youngest community members from an early age about our coast and ocean, they will grow to love and protect it.

That is why we are offering a series of educational programs for San Diego schools K-12:

“Sea Turtle Talks”

Thanks to a grant from the Port of San Diego, we are offering sea turtle education classes for students k-1 for schools in the South San Diego Bay. Our “Sea Turtle Talk” presentations will help students understand the need to protect this endangered species.  Students will learn about the group of green sea turtles that migrate every year to San Diego Bay and how they can protect them. Presentations come with games and activities to make it fun for all children!

“Meet our new Marine Protected Areas - our Underwater Parks

WiLDCOAST wants to introduce students to San Diego’s new underwater parks and their wonders!  WiLDCOAST will come to your school and do an in class presentations about the newly established Marine Protected Areas. What are they? Why do we need them? What can we do to protect them? And how we can enjoy them?

If you are interested in having our Environmental Educator come to your school, please contact Diane Castaneda at diane@wildcoast.net or call at (619) 423-8665 ext. 207.
