New Video: Why You Should Become a WiLDCOAST Volunteer

by Paloma Aguirre

To date, WiLDCOAST’s U.S.-Mexico Border Coastal Program has educated over 8,350 students and residents in south San Diego and Tijuana, trained 466 local clean water advocates in methods to reduce pollution and safeguard their health; mobilized 4,569 volunteers to remove 230,340 lbs. of oceanbound trash, and collected 5,934 waste-tires from the Tijuana River Valley, Estuary and Los Laureles Canyon in Tijuana through strategic partnerships with stakeholder organizations and agencies on both sides of the border.

None of this would have been possible without the support of volunteers.

Here is a new video about why to get involved in our Tijuana River Cleanup Campaign made by long-time WiLDCOAST supporter and friend Darrin Polischuk.
