City of Tijuana officials have just confirmed two sewage spills are taking place in Playas de Tijuana due to a collapsed sewage conveyor pipe. Two of these spills are flowing into the ocean.

Fortunately the San Diego Department of Environmental Health promptly issued a beach closure for the entire Imperial Beach shoreline since yesterday after  several reports  from local surfers of water discoloration and strong odors.

WiLDCOAST suspected a sewage spill was the cause of the fetid odors and strong discoloration but it was not until this morning that Tijuana authorities were able to confirm that in fact a sewage pipeline was in fact spilling raw sewage into the ocean.
