HELP WILDCOAST SAVE BAJA’S CABO PULMO CORAL REEF

Cabo Pulmo National Park on Baja’s East Cape is home to the northernmost coral reef in North America. This unique marine protected area is home to over 250 species of fish, five species of sea turtles, and the humpback whale. The National Park is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site and considered a global success story for its reef that came back to life, after locals and the Mexican government banned commercial fishing in the area.

However, if Hansa Urbana, a Spanish corporation, has its way, Cabo Pulmo National Park and its wondrous reef will be destroyed. The Spanish conglomerate is planning to build a mega-resort, Cabo Cortes that would include 30,000 new rooms, an airport, two golf courses and the urbanization of an area that today is still pristine.

We need your help to save Cabo Pulmo. WiLDCOAST has been on the front lines of the battle to preserve Cabo Pulmo, but there is much, much more to do.

Please give generously to help us save this magnificent coral reef.
