Join WILDCOAST for Coastal Cleanup Day!

Next Saturday September 21st!

WILDCOAST will be partnering once again with I Love a Clean San Diego (ILCSD) for California Coastal Cleanup Day (CCD).  It is a state-wide coastal waterway cleanup event held each year facilitated by the California Coastal Commission, environmental groups such as ILCSD, local government and community groups.  It is part of International Coastal Cleanup Day, which is organized by the Ocean Conservancy and takes place in over 70 countries.  The goal of CCD is to prevent ocean bound trash from reaching our waterways and eventually the ocean through clean up activities.

So take this great opportunity to be a steward of your coast, local beach or waterway and join WILDCOAST and ILCSD at one of the two locations below:

Tijuana River Valley:

In the Border Field State Park.  Map and information here:

Otay Valley Regional Park:

Beyer Way Staging Area at 1700 Beyer Way (make sure to go here and not to Beyer Blvd!!) at 9:30 am.

Make sure to bring your reusable water bottles and any cleanup supplies you have!  Volunteers will receive a treat for participating at both events!
