Holiday Fiesta/ An Evening with Kem Nunn/Dec.13
WiLDCOAST Presents:
An Evening with Kem Nunn, author of Tijuana Straits
Spend an evening with California's Dean of Surf Literature. Kem Nunn is author of the critically acclaimed novels Tijuana Straights, Dogs of Winter, and Tapping the Source. Currently a writer for the acclaimed HBO series, Deadwood, Nunn is the one of California’s most renowned authors. A third generation native of Southern California, Nunn writes from a lifetime of ocean experience. He was nearly 30 when he went to college to study writing. Tapping the Source was nominated for American Book Award’s Best First Fiction. After gaining confidence from his first novel, Nunn moved to New York City to live a writer's life and study at Columbia University. Within a year he was back in California, living near the ocean. He received the Los Angeles Times 2004 Book Prize for Tijuana Straits.

This is a rare opportunity to meet this legendary author who rarely makes public appearances. Activities include a reading by the author, book sale and signing, raffle, and video presentations on WiLDCOAST’s conservation programs. Books will be available for sale and refreshments provided.
