The first stage of “Defiende el Mar” Campaign finishes successfully
Defiende el Mar is a movement that involves artists, soccer players, fishermen, media, and people like you and me who want the ocean and its resources to last forever and for every one.
This first stage consisted of a media tour in Baja California, Mexico City, Guerrero and Sonora. The image of soccer stars Francisco “Kikin” Fonseca, Jorge Campos and model Dorismar framed the successfurl transmision of our messages. Dorismar’s presence undoubtedly attracted the most popular media in Mexico.
We are already distributing posters, postcards, banners, stickers and T-shirts with the campaign’s messages.
Soon we will post the campaign in bus stops all over Mexico City in partnership with Defenders of Wildlife, IFAW, FEA and Greenpeace, asking people NOT to consume sea turtle products and to protect the oceans.
We want to thank Pronatura and COBI for their support in carrying out this media tour in Northwest Mexico, and especially to our spokespeople: Dr. Gustavo Danemann, Fermin Smith, Irina Robles and Miguel Durazo.
We also want to thank the pro-bono participation of Kikin Fonseca, Jorge “El Brody” Campos and Dorismar, who provided their images and voices to transmit our message.
We want to acknowledge the invaluable support of Sergio Flores, Natalia Parra and Hector Guerrero from Reforma for making this campaign a huge success in the State of Guerrero.
Thanks also to all the broadcasting networks, radio stations and newspapers that followed our campaigns.
We will keep you informed.
