Sea turtle activities take off in San Diego Bay!
Thanks to a partnership with the Port of San Diego, WiLDCOAST has been
educating kindergarteners in the San Diego bay area about sea turtles, their
environment and the importance to protect them.

This year we decided to implement hands-on activities so that these curious
children learn how sea turtles are born. Thanks to the amazing work of our
enthusiastic interns Heather and Ashley, dozens of children have learned
first hand what sea turtle eggs look like, the threats they face, their
chances or survival and how they become sea turtles!

With fun excursions to Bayside Park, children and teachers have been very
enthusiastic about the activities, and most importantly, children are
learning what THEY can do to protect sea turtles.

We want to thank all the teachers, parents and students from Logan,
Harborside, Kimball and Bayside elementary schools for their patience and
support.

You too can protect sea turtles! Get involved, become a volunteer, learn
more! www.wildcoast.net
