Thanks to a partnership with Los Tigres del Norte, one of Latin America's most belovedmusical groups, icons with a social conscience, we just completed our 2005 "Tigres No
Comen Tortugas" Mexican tour to halt the urban consumption of sea turtle eggs and meat
in North America.
Our team of enthusiastic volunteers reached more than 200,000 fans in the most active
sea turtle "markets". The tour ended last weekend in Mexico City with two huge concerts
at the Auditorio Nacional, after concerts in Mexicali, Tijuana, Hermosillo, and Ciudad
Obregón.
This is opening up a new chapter in our ability to communicate with the main population
that can just say "NO" to eating sea turtle eggs and meat.
