Baja California Sur Field Coordinator
Cecilia Fischer is in charge of building a constituency of local
stakeholders in Baja California Sur to
advocate for the conservation of Cabo Pulmo, and against irresponsible
coastline development. Cecilia is a native of Baja California Sur, and
has lived in Loreto, La Paz and Los Cabos for the last 26 years.
Currently she lives in San Jose del Cabo as she works there and travels
around all the communities of southern region of the peninsula.
She has worked in adventure travel tourism and conservation in the
northwest of Mexico for 17 years. She is a "sudcaliforniana" with a B.A.
in Sociology from Grinnell College, in Grinnell Iowa USA. She is
completely bilingual and bi-cultural.
