Diane Castaneda

Diane Castaneda
Program Coordinator: Wildlife Conservation
Diane organizes the local San Diego community and schools in raising marine conservation awareness and its benefits to our environment, our economy and our future. She works to help California redesign and establish marine protected areas in the south coast; moreover, she is also in charge of the Sea Turtle Education Program where she puts on Sea Turtle conservation presentations to kindergarten and elementary school students.
Diane received a Bachelors Degree in Communications from San Diego State University and she is currently working towards a certificate in Public Relations from the Universidad IBERO Americana.
When Diane is not spreading conservation awareness, she is planning where her next trip will be. Diane’s love for travel motivates her to go to at least one new place every year. Diane grew up in Playas de Tijuana (Tijuana Beach) and says that living near the ocean inspired her strong passion to help protect our oceans.
